Far more often these hollow strands are covered with dents.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eBeads in transit around, and from, Africa are transported without any packaging or padding. The durable beads that can handle that treatment also tend to be heavy so these delicate hollow beads don't stand a chance. \u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eInterestingly, the dents don't seem to deter these beads' admirers.
