- These are particularly large examples of this type of bead at 10mm diameter
- Antique strand is 21 inches excluding the raffia, price reflects rare size
- Condition is excellent, only on strand this size available
- Sometimes called Awale, Awalleh, or similar, spellings vary
- Made in Venice late 1800 to early 1900s
- My personal opinion, based on the relatively early stage of chevron evolution seen in these beads, is that they may be even older.
