  • Glass imitations Asian of coral beads from the collection of Joyce Diamanti, bead researcher, writer, educator, collector and world traveler. These were part of an exhibit or coral and its imitations that she prepared for the Bead Society of Greater Washington.
  • They're a terrific red oxblood coral color and their unusual shapes would make a stunning necklace with black beads.
  • The holes are almost 2mm so a braided Chinese cord effect could also be a nice way to wear these - or simply add them to your collection...
  • This is the kind of thing Czech beadmakers of the 18th century might have made, but these are not molded (no mold marks and they're not identical) and altho I have no firm evidence, I think they were made in Asia. Date unknown.
  • There are some size variations, but not a much as the image seems to indicate,  in the picture, the ones in the foreground appear larger and the ones in the background appear smaller than they actually are.
