- These African-made stone beads have a long tradition, dating back many hundreds of years, and still hold ritual importance to some in the Djenne area
- The perforations in these seem to indicate much more recent manufacture, but they still have a lovely ancient look and feel.
- Collect them or try mixing with silver and other stones from Carnelian to Turquoise for a variety of looks
