Nepalese brass and turquoise inlay, round 12mm with decorative equatorial band, holes about 1mm
Lots of work goes into these little beads! First the core is fabricated in brass then a design applied to the surface with granulation and wire work. Areas between these designs are filled in with ground up turquoise mixed with epoxy. Once that's hardened the entire bead is ground down to a smooth surface.
These are old stock from my collection, purchased about 15 years ago.
I have not been able to find these or similar beads in recent years.
