- Vintage Kathleen Dustin bead from her Silk Road era, but not necessarily of that series. This stunning face looks more central American, possibly related to Freida Kahlo who was enjoying a revival at that time.
- Kathleen is the recognized master in the art of faces in Fimo and this is an outstanding example. The back of bead features and equally exquisitely detailed rose as well as some of her classic geometric designs
- This bead has a large hole running side to side behind the face.
- Kathleen embedded real tiny seed beads possibly size 13, or even smaller, in the necklace and one is missing I've adjusted the price for that tiny flaw.
- Inspired by her time living in such exotic places as Turkey and Saudi Arabia, Kathleen translated the art and adornment of those regions into Fimo, the new material taking the US by storm in the early 1980s. She invented many of the techniques required and continues to create and teach at the highest level.
