- From my collection of rare and unusual millefiori beads. In the 1980s I was buying and selling many hundreds of strands of trade beads, also making jewelry from them for museum stores, and collecting the most unusual specimens in an attempt to follow the Picards' amazing collection documented in their publications. It was fun, but now is the time for some of these to find new homes.
