- Extraordinarily rare tabular hexagona bead, blue-green base with scattering of delicate red and white flower murrine. To me it looks like cherry blossoms fallen after a wind. The flowers are on both sides of the bead.
- Sadly it has a significant chunk missing, but because of it's rarity (both the core color and the flowers) and beauty I think it's worth the price.
- Made in Venice, Italy for the African trade - or at least it ended up there - the Asian delicacy of this design makes me wonder if might have been intended for a different market. Early 1800s
