  • This pendant is 38mm in diameter and is one-of-a-kind, although I'll be posting other similar ones
  • Miniature painting originated around 750 A.D. in India on palm leaves, but reached its zenith in Rajasthan around 950 A.D.
  • There, the paintings began to incorporate elements of the Persian art in work on. paper, becoming known as the Mughal style. Typically, they portrayed the lifestyles of royalty, and some of India’s many deities.
  • Here we see the elephant headed god Ganesha, the god of beginnings and remover of obstacles. He’s also the  patron of authors, scribes, intellectuals, and bankers.
