  • The equatorial band on these beads identifies them a Prosser beads
  • The molded bead-making technique was invented by the button-making Prosser bothers in 1830's in Bohemia (now Czech Republic) and named after them.

  • I heard a few decades ago that the Prosser factory had been dismantled and moved to Morocco, but I haven't been able to confirm that.
