Set of 3 antique extra large Lost Wax Cast brass and/or bronze cylinder beads from Nigeria, which though less known for beads than Ghana, has a long and illustrious artistic metalworking history.
The beads in this set are 33-40mm long and 13-15mm diameter
The openings are at least 9mm so can be strung on heavy cords, scarves, hair, or used in multi- to single strand designs.
They are estimated to be over 200 years old and some of them show it, as well as the natural irregularities that distinguish Lost Wax Casting from mass produced work.
