Aventurine is a type of quartz, characterized by subtly sparkling inclusions. In Green Aventurine these are microscopic particles of Fuchsite. Red Aventurine gets its color from hematite inclusions.

I find rondells to be a very useful shape of beads. They help necklaces drape smoothly, add texture, and can be used to add just the right dash of complementary color to a design.
