I'm using the term "faux amber" to designate resin beads that have been created to imitate various kinds of vintage African amber
Deep, rich red/burgundy beads extra large 23x40mm beads
These oblates (squashed spheres) replicate the most popular traditional shape, and their weight is also similar the originals
They are a little more expensive that other amber imitations, but the quality of these beads more than justifies the cost, and comes in far under the cost of the real vintage African amber beads
