Antique striped brown seed beads with blue & white stripes, 3.5mm on 24-inch strand. These are my favorite color combo - they go with so many trade beads
Because the colors and patina match many of the larger trade beads of the same vintage, antique seed beads are ideal spacers to use with them
Striped beads add an extra level of color and pattern complexity to designs

A typical way I use these beads: To frame a nice blue, brown and amber millefiori bead about 8-10mm diameter, I'd first but a brown "slice" bead on either side of it (that could be glass, vinyl heishi, bauxite), then a 6m Czech rondelle in blue, then maybe a brass heishi spacer or a small amber color bead (smaller than the rondelle, but bigger than the striped bead), then a striped bead, then one or more plain beads, then repeat the whoe "framing" process with the next trade bead focal, extending the distance between them as I move toward the back of the neck... I'll post a picture someday to save 1000 words!
