- Warm brick brown 2-3mm vintage seed beads from the African trade
- These are about the same dimensions as size 8 seed beads, but with more interesting variation in shape and a nicely aged patina
- There were made in Europe during the late 1800s to about 1914
- These strands are quite uniform and in excellent condition
- Because they were made from the same glass at the same time, vintage and antique seed beads are the perfect choice for use as spacers with manyVenetian trade beads.
- When I got started stringing African beads I didn't realize how important it was to have spacer beads with a similarly aged patina to go with my Trade Beads.
- Fortunately I had a chance to return to Africa and stock up on the smaller beads to go with the larger focals I had originally concentrated on. I'm glad I did because these strands in good condition are getting increasingly harder to find.
