- Antique Holari (aka Haulare) molded clear glass pendant, submarine shaped, similar to Islamic cartouche pendants. 33x19mm, worn completely smooth
- Made in Bohemia (now Czech Republic) for the African trade between 1850s and 1900
- They were a great favorite of Fulani women, who wore them singly or in groups of 2 or 3 on necklaces and sometimes also in their hair.
- Most Holari beads seem to have a matte or semi-matte finish, whether they were made this way or if it's the result of age and weathering in a desert environment, I don't know.
