- Unusual "shield" ornaments from Ethiopia, brass, 50mm diameter
- Raided knob in the center is 15mm tall
- This relatively new version is made from sheet metal, stamped and etched, the central element is riveted onto the base
- I'm not sure how they are used there but I've seen at least one designer who has attached 3 of these to each other to create a really stunning effect
- I can also envision them added to the lids of small wooden boxes or baskets
- I have several but each is unique.
