- Rare olive green core beads, decorated with red, white and blue "banners" or flags, but in a smaller size and more subtle than usual.
- All in perfect condition with the patina of long term wear without any damage
- The name lampworking comes from the lamps (torches today) that artists use to melt the very thin rods of glass for applying decoration to the surface of beads.
- The bead cores were produced in the furnaces of larger Venetian glass workshops before being sent to artists working at home to decorate them. This explains the variations we see in similar designs produced over decades.
