- These aren't exactly lampworked, they are just green and yellow glass swirled together for an interesting effect. One bead is smaller than the others.
- Made in Venice, Italy early 1900s
- The name lampworking comes from the lamps (torches today) that artists use to melt the very thin rods of glass for applying decoration to the surface of beads.
- The bead cores were produced in the furnaces of larger Venetian glass workshops before being sent to artists working at home to decorate them. This explains the variations we see in similar designs produced over decades.
