- Antique Venetian millefiori (1000 flowers) trade bead
- This unusual bead is completely covered with 6 sections of star cane laid down parallel with the perforation. See both images to understand this better. On top of that slices of a different red star cane have been embedded in the surface. It seems so wasteful to use up mosaic canes this way, but maybe they were imperfect or maybe the workers were tired and just wanted to be done. I can feel a little like that after entering 200 beads 2 days :(
