- Large blue and white powderglass bead from Ghana, four sided cylinder shape 43x26mm Vintage 1970s with hole about 4-5mm
- The layering creates an attractive effect like clouds or waves
- Powderglass beadmaking resembles, and may be derived from, faience beadmaking that was practiced in ancient Egypt and Persia. It involves layering different colors of pulverized glass into a clay mold and heating the beads until the glass fuses but doesn't completely liquify.
