- Strand of 8 Vintage East African red amber oval beads 27x20mm
- These are the wonderful deep burgundy color and oval shape that is preferred in East African and the Middle East, where the more yellow/brown and oblate shapes were preferred in West and northwest Africa
- Sometimes called Faturan amber, these red amber beads are of the same, or very similar, synthetic resins as the west African beads, They quickly became among the most valuable beads regardless or origin or composition.
