- Set of 7 yellow antique Venetian lampwork beads including 4 matched barrels, 13x12mm
- One short cylinder with green and pink eye design and two on which the design has almost completely worn off, one of them a square cross-section bead
- I find these "plain" ones can still serve a design well by giving some visual relief between patterned beads. I'm happy to find "plain" beads of exactly the right color.
- One of my biggest challenges when starting to design with African beads when I came to the US for college, was finding simple beads that complemented the antique trade beads I'd brought with me. In those days there were few options, no new matte finish beads, and no plain African beads in bead stores. Everything except some wood beads seemed too shiny. When I went back to Africa for Christmas I made sure to stock up on plain glass beads in a variety of sizes. Some of these can be found in the African Small Strand sub-category of African beads. They sell fast so I have to keep posting more. Check back often if you are interested.
