- Lovely large oblate beads which seem to be Indonesian adaptations of decorating beads with mosaic cane slices. The color gradations of dark blues through all the shades and tints to white is very attractive and well done. I'd love to see more work like this coming out of Indonesia, if that's where they're from.
- These came to me as part of a collection I recently bought so I can't be positive but friends who've been there tell me these look like the work of the growing glass industry in Java, Indonesia.
- Like many emerging artists, the Indonesian glass bead makers learned by imitating/replicating antique and ancient beads from their own culture, and later Venetian and Chinese beads as well.
