- Vintage Indonesian melon beads 14mm diameter on a short strand of 16 beads
- Melon beads have been especially popular in SE Asia for centuries so it's not surprising that the growing bead industry in Java has begun reproducing them
- These are vintage from a collection I recently acquired, I'm guessing they are from the 1990s
- The green glass is semi-opaque medium green color that's sometimes described as "greasy" as in certain "greasy" colors of seed beads preferred for Native American beadwork. It can resemble candle wax. The have a smooth, but not glossy, finish
