Description
- These pendants are priced and sold individually
- Small versions of a Turkoman clasp component made into a pendants 60mm wide
- The hooks and eyes of the clasp were removed and two rings attached to the back of each for stringing. See third image.
- These have particularly nice sets of dangles on hand looped chains in remarkably good condition as well as some gilding
- These could also be strung by connecting to any of the openings at the top
- Large antique originals (like ASF-304) were covered with auspicious engraved symbols relating to fertility, rows of stylized rams horns along the top edges, and studded with antique "eye" cut carnelians that have been believed for millennia to protect from bleeding, wounds and miscarriages. In newer, smaller versions the designs are simplified and eye shaped cabochon are glass.
