Turkoman nomads formerly roamed Central Asia with their flocks, making carpets and fabulous jewelry, but now more and more have been forced to settle and subsist as farmers or artisans who make both traditional Turkoman jewelry and other items influenced by the art of the countries where they have settled.
I found these in the Grand Bazaar in Istanbul, where sadly there was almost no vintage or antique Turkoman jewelry to be found in 2024.
