- Garnets have been found in excavations dating back to the Bronze Age
- I think these are Rhodolite garnets, but I'm not positive
- Rhodolite garnet gets its name from the Greek for "rose stone" because it's color ranges form rosy red to pale violet. The color looks a lot like pink tourmaline.
- It's found mostly in Sri Lanka, Tanzania, Zambia, Brazil and the USA
