- The non-standard size is because these were cut and polished in Afghanistan
- If they were 8mm they'd cost a lot more for this quality
- The name comes from Arabic and Latin for “blue stone”
- The finest royal blue Lapis comes from the West Hindu Kush mountains of Afghanistan. It's flecked with gold Pyrite that show it’s natural and not dyed.
