- Sets of 25 slightly irregular vintage round natural Malachite beads from Zaire. Sizes range from 10 to 17mm diameter
- The shape varies from the perfectly round Malachite cut and polished in Asia because at the time these were made (1960s-70s) the tools and techniques for cutting and polishing beads in Zaire were far less mechanized than those in Asia.
- If you like the slightly more "organic" look, these could be for you.
- Purchased in the late 1960s when we lived in Rwanda and sometimes ventured over the border into Zaire to climb volcanoes or see gorillas.
