Description

  • These medium pink pearls are just a little bit less tall than they are wide, but otherwise the quality matches the rounds at GMA-286.
  • There are 6x6.5mm on 16-inch strands and because they are not perfectly round they coast 1/3 less, a deal for you.
  • Pearls are formed inside bivalves (similar to oysters), which coat any foreign substance that gets inside their shell with a smooth layer of pearly nacre to eliminate the irritation. This coating grows over time increasing the pearl's luster and size. The color is influenced by minerals in the water.
  • The Chinese cultured some pearls in the 12th or 13th century, but the Japanese developed it into an industry in the 1890s, inserting mother-of-pearl beads as the basis of their cultured pearls.
