- Round 8mm Rhodochrosite beads, beautiful color and light banding. We will do our best to pick matched pairs, but remember that these are natural materials and what makes them valuable is that each is a unique creation of nature -- with a little help from stone cutters and polishers
- The gem's name comes from the Greek for it's rosy color, but some of the best specimens from South America have been called Inca Rose.
- Rhodochrosite often forms around near hydrothermal activity, where superheated water circulates through veins in the rocks. Examples include the Sweet Home Mine in Colorado, Capillitas in Argentina and the N'Chwanig mines in South Africa.
