  • A vintage hand-cut strand of natural rubies from India displaying the full range of colors of the stone from pink to almost garnet. The beads are tiny and irregular when compared to high tech machine shaped beads, but I find them charming.
  • Rubies come from Sri Lanka, Myanmar, Thailand, India (where these are from), Brazil and the USA. 
  • Like the other precious stones, sapphire and emerald, ruby has long been associated with royalty from Emperor Kublai Khan to Queen Victoria.
