- Very are antique Venetian mini 7-layer chevrons from Peru, Set of 19 beads
- The beads are faceted and range in size from 4 to 7mm diameter
- 7 layer chevrons, with the inner layer being a light blue green color were made in Venice, Italy between 1480 and about 1580.
- The Spanish conquistadors, like Francisco Pizarro who stole boatloads of gold form the Inca empire, brought these little chevrons with him to Peru in the 1530s
- I found them in the antiques area of the main Lima market in the early 1980s
- Now they are looking for a new home.
