- Exquisitely exotic and detailed vintage Kathleen Dustin "Silk Roads" necklace
- Consisting 4 starry night beads, 6 rolled long oval beads, one clasp piece with stars and moon face plus 7 truly extraordinarily detailed beads with facial expressions, jewelry, and clothing evoking the lush adornment of the silk road lands and people.
- Inspired by her time living in such exotic places as Turkey and Saudi Arabia, Kathleen translated the art and adornment of those regions into Fimo, the new material taking the US by storm in the early 1980s. She invented many of the techniques required and continues to create and teach at the highest level.
- The clasp and one of the beads is signed with her KD mark. See 3rd & 4th images
- Many of the major beads in this necklace are two sided with additional detail and faces on the back and 4 are embellished with gold leaf.
