- Vintage turquoise Chinese floral design cloisonne donuts with faceted and smooth round glass beads. 1.25 inches long without hypoallergenic gold tone earwires
- Turquoise blue cloisonne donuts feature pink llowers and green leaves on both sides.
- The delicate and multi-step process of making them did not originate in China, but if flourished there from the mid 1300s to mid-1400s and was practiced well into the 19th century although quality gradually deteriorated. I've found these perfectly smooth beads in collections of "old stock" in the warehouses of long-time Chinese product importers in New York and San Francisco.
