  • Rudraksha, aka "Tears of Shiva" are seeds of a tree called Elaeocarpus ganitrus which grows from the Nepal in the Himalayas, across India, to SE Asia, Australia, Guam and Hawaii.
  • The seeds are used in malas by Hindus, especially followers of Shiva, and are associated with the mantra Om Namah Shivaya
