- Antique Indian Silver large hole heavy silver "building block" beads 13x15mm
- These heavy antique silver oblate beads are from Orissa state, in western India not far from Calcutta where we lived at the time.
- Beads collected in the 1980s, but the beads are much older. My favorite vender pulled a chest of treasures out from under his bed for us to explore - so fun!!
- These beads are heavy, and thus expensive. They aren't for everyone, and even I didn't appreciate them until recently, but how I'm hooked. They heft give them a presence that goes beyond their weight. They need to be touched to be fully appreciated. I'm tempted to keep them all, but I'm sharing a few for special customers...
