- Antique Venetian lampworked "Lewis and Clark" bead 26x13mm
- Not sure who named these beads, but Lewis and Clark would not have seen, or traded them, on their 1804 Expedition b/c these beads weren't made until the late 1800s and were discontinued in the early 1900s.
- This is a very nice bead, in excellent condition
- From my private collection begun in 1971 in West Africa
- Be careful not to fall for Indian reproductions, which can look quite similar in pictures. No issue as long as you know what they are, and don't pay more than a few dollars. As fakes often do, they have lowered the price of the antique beads because people have doubts and don't want to take chances.
- My other long Lewis & Clark will stay at $65, but I've decided to post this one for less.
