Description
- A familiar design, used in a new way. This antique Venetian elbow (aka banana) bead uses the complex cased multi-eye design in two ways
- Cane slices are applied in 3 rows along the length of the bead, then segments of the same cane were laid down parallel to the perforation. You can see this by looking at the ends of the bead. Not sure why they'd do something so apparently wasteful of a fancy cane, but it does create more interest than a simple stripe of brick red glass because some inner layers of the cans show thru.
