- Desinger/collector set in round, cylinder & oval shapes, deep reddish amber color
- These are from Kenya where, round, oval and barrel shapes were more popular than the oblates so beloved in West Africa.
- Although they qualify as vintage (more than 20 years old) these are much newer than some of the other African Amber listed in this collection, which are very close to antique, being 80-90 years old.
- These beads were made for the African trade probably in Turkey, Greece, the Middle East or India. All of those places have a long tradition of amber and amber simulations used in jewelry, worry beads, or prayer strands.
