An unusual strand of 8mm round Amethyst beads almost like a mix between Amethyst (solid purple color ranging from lighter to dark) and Cape Amethyst (light purple, often mixed with bands of white). This one combines dark and medium purple with light and white in an attractive mix.
Only one 16-inch strand available
Amethyst is found in Bolivia, Brazil, Russia, many parts of Africa and North America.
Neolithic European used it, as did the ancient Egyptians, Greeks and Romans, and more recently it has been regarded as a stone of royalty, used in crowns, scepters, and the rings of bishops.
The Greeks thought it could prevent drunkenness, today it's lauded for its capacity for curbing over-indulgence and giving up bad habits. It's also said to be able to clear the energy field of negative influences and attachments and helping one move to higher states of consciousness.
