10mm Rainbow Obsidian is a black obsidian, which when polished, and exposed to a strong light source, reveals bands of other colors.
These came to me from the Beadazzled Falls Church store and no doubt Pat and Mary knew more about these stones than I do, but I admit not having seen any color in these. It may just be that I don't have a strong enough light source.
Either way Black Obsidian is nice black stone, affordable, with many uses, and it has the reputation of cleansing negativity and supporting grounding
