Vintage Ethiopian blade shaped bone pendant embellished on both sides with dots and circle/dot eye designs. This one shows signs of long use around the hole at the top, but still safe to use. 4 inches long. Warm light amber color
These were traditionally worn by men (possibly healers or diviners according to my sources) on long necklaces that often included trade beads such as Russian Blues and/or White Hearts.
They make bold pendants, I've seen them used horizontally as focals, sometimes with strands of beads dangling from them, as well as a vertically pendant.
Beads appear more and more in home decor, I can also see these working nicely as fan, light or curtain pulls.
I recently found a stash in storage so there's a nice selection, each one unique
