  • These are priced and sold by sets of 10 beads
  • Batik bone look striped slices, 5x12mm, ivory white and dark brown
  • The original batik process involves covering areas that are to remain white with molten wax then dipping the object in dye. In the case of African beads, that's black hair dye. 
  • These Indian beads, however, are made by a different process. First the surface of the bead is dyed dark, probably also with hair dye. The the white color is exposed by scraping through the dark surface layer.
