Bone pendants, 2x1.5 inches, with two auspicious Koi fish
In Chinese art koi symbolize several lessons we may face in life and the strength, perseverance, and courag we have to overcome them to reach longevity, success, good fortune and prosperity
In India they soak bone in tea to "antique" it. In China they seem to use smoke, which often leaves a strong smell, so I've generally avoided these types of beads regardless of how attractive they are.
As time goes by, however, the smell diminishes so I've started looking at them again. These have just a trace of smoky odor left -- if I didn't mention it, most people wouldn't notice, but I'm all about full disclosure.
