- These beads are priced and sold individually
- Vintage lost was cast beads of a style also made in Ghana, but due to the exquisite quality of the fine detail I believe these were made in Cote d'Ivoire
- In either case the process is to first create every single bead in wax, cover it with clay, let it dry, then fire it so the wax runs out. Then fill the resulting mold with molten brass. Once cooled the mold is broken to release the bead. The mold cannot be used. Next steps involve cleaning, grinding off any traces of sprues and polishing. Each bead is unique
- It's a complex and demanding process and some minor imperfections are accepted, they prove it's not a machine made copy.
