- Ok this is the biggest bead I ever held: 6 inches diameter 4.25 inches end-to-end
- It was the centerpiece of a huge traditional necklace of the Vere people who lived on both sides of the Nigeria/Cameroon border.
- Collected in Cameroon early 1970s while we were living in West Africa.
- It's a seriously collectible antique and and a work of art from the late 19th to early 20th century. There are few original pieces like this outside of European museums.
