- Large antique brass Ethiopian ring, outer diameter, inner diameter 12mm
- If worn as a ring I'd guess this is about a size 8 but because the outer diameter is so much larger it's not surprising that these were usually worn as pendants
- This one is quite old and worn smooth inside and out. There is very faint evidence of circular stamped designs on the outer part of the ring, but if you didn't know they were there you'd probably miss them.
- There is a little more wear on the inside of one side of the ring where the traditional leather cord was attached and create a shallow depression over generations of wear.
- I've seen very similar rings in use on Tuareg leather bags as a weight for the flap or decoration. Not sure if there's any connection, but it may give you some ideas of how to use this piece
