- Large, heavy copper ball 2.25 inches diameter, opening just under 1 inch diameter
- Covered all over with detailed geometric designs that remind me of Tuareg work
- Collected in West Africa early 1970s
- Initial research indicates that the metal came from Europe and entered the local economy as a form of currency.
- I need to do more work on this and welcome information from anyone who knows more. In the meantime it would make a fantastic paperweight or desk ornament.
